Does the beta cost anything?

No. Joining and using the beta is free. Pricing for the App Store launch hasn't been announced.

Which platforms are supported?

iPhone only, on iOS 16 or later. The beta runs in light mode only.

Do I need a library card?

To see Libby availability and wait times, yes: add your library by name in the app. Without one, the Kindle Unlimited, Hoopla and Amazon shortcuts still open.

Does NextRead confirm Kindle Unlimited or Hoopla availability?

No. Neither service has a public availability feed. NextRead gives you a one-tap shortcut that opens their app so you can check yourself. "Often on KU" is a hint based on the publisher, not a promise.

Does NextRead place Libby holds?

No. NextRead shows the wait time, then opens Libby. You place the hold in the Libby app.

Is it a reading tracker?

No. NextRead isn't a reading tracker, journal or social app. It helps you find where to get the next book on your list.

What about my data?

Your shelf stays on your phone. There's no NextRead account and no server for your data. Full details in our privacy policy.
